Abstract

Airlines and airport authorities maintain complex contractual agreements governing service charges for landing, parking, baggage handling, and ancillary operations. Manual reconciliation between contractual obligations and actual flight operations creates revenue leakage, billing discrepancies, and operational inefficiencies. This article presents an artificial intelligence-enhanced automation framework built on SAP Business Technology Platform that integrates contract intelligence with flight operational data for accurate, compliant invoice generation. The system employs Generative AI and vector databases to semantically extract rate clauses from unstructured airport contracts, automatically computing applicable charges based on real-time flight data. A federated learning architecture enables model improvement across multiple airports while preserving data sovereignty and contractual confidentiality. Prototype evaluation demonstrates high accuracy in clause extraction and invoice generation, with substantial reductions in processing time compared to manual workflows. The framework provides complete audit traceability, linking each billing line item to originating contract clauses and operational data. This solution offers aviation stakeholders a scalable, enterprise-grade platform for digital transformation of financial operations, reducing disputes and enhancing revenue accuracy across global airport networks.
